Metelec Services recently completed a specialist electrical project for Zeta Analytical at its Watford facility.
Zeta Analytical is a leading independent laboratory supporting the pharmaceutical industry, providing specialist analytical services within an environment where precision, reliability and carefully considered infrastructure are essential.
Unlike a conventional commercial office, a laboratory environment brings its own set of requirements. Electrical systems need to support specialist equipment and precision working, while the wider infrastructure needs to be carefully planned around how the facility will be used.
For Metelec, this project provided another opportunity to demonstrate the breadth of its commercial electrical capabilities.
Designing around the needs of the laboratory
The project involved delivering a specialist electrical package tailored to the requirements of Zeta Analytical’s laboratory environment.
Metelec’s scope included:
- Dedicated power supplies for specialist laboratory equipment
- High-spec LED lighting to support precision working
- Mains infrastructure and containment
- Network infrastructure
Each element formed part of the wider electrical installation, with the team working to provide a reliable and practical infrastructure for the completed facility.

It also demonstrates the company’s ability to adapt its approach to the requirements of the client and the building, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to electrical installation.
