Delivering specialist electrical and mechanical installations for education and laboratory environments requires technical expertise, careful planning and close collaboration. This project demonstrates Metelec Services’ ability to deliver complex commercial fit-outs to the highest standard.
Working alongside the main contractor, Metelec Services completed the full mechanical and electrical installation for CLEAPSS’ new headquarters at Chiltern Court, following its relocation from Brunel University London.
The project transformed two separate office units into a modern commercial office, laboratory and collaborative learning facility. The scope included electrical and mechanical services, power distribution, lighting, life safety systems, structured cabling, access control, HVAC and specialist laboratory ventilation.
A key challenge was integrating two independent electrical supplies into a single infrastructure while delivering the works across two floors within a four month programme. Careful coordination with multiple trades ensured the project remained on schedule and met the client’s operational requirements.
The completed facility provides a safe, energy efficient and future-ready workspace, tailored to CLEAPSS’ specialist requirements. Metelec Services continues to support the building through ongoing maintenance and technical assistance, ensuring long term reliability and performance.
